Hypnosis Glade is an excellent introductory GBA glade zone as it offers mellow yet colorful skiing opportunities for all abilities. Just off Rt. 113 in Madison, the Hypnosis gets its name from being on the private property held by the White Mountain Hypnosis Center. The owners, Michael and Penny Hathaway, have a love for the outdoors and its healing properties. They have embraced backcountry skiing and for that we are grateful.
The skintrack ascends right out of the parking lot, wasting no time. A mellow and tastefully crafted skintrack allows the uphill skier to enjoy the peaceful nature of the property and efficiently ascend to the upper traverse to access one of four glade lines. The skier’s right lines flow from glade to old skidtrack, making for some exciting and twisty skiing, perfect for kids. The skier’s left turns lines are suited for the next-step hungry adventurer with several options to catch air and enjoy the zone. You earned it!
